The College of the North Atlantic (CNA) is a public college with 17 campuses in Newfoundland and Labrador. It offers a wide variety of academic, trades, and skills education programs.

CNA offers Adult Basic Education (ABE), a high school equivalency program designed for adults who did not complete high school or who wish to upgrade their credentials in one or more subject areas.

ABE Level I content is considered basic literacy and equates roughly to K-6 in the regular school system. ABE Level II content equates the junior high portion of the regular school program while ABE Level III content is similar to that which is encountered in Grades 10-12.
