In response to demand after the Fall 2011 Institute, Professor Steve Reder, Portland State University and Mr. Patrick Bussière, Director, Learning Policy Research Division, Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) will offer webinars in February 2012.

Participation, Proficiency and Practice: What the research says
Professor Steve Reder will present findings from his decade-long Longitudinal Study of Adult basic Learners (LSAL) on the impacts of programs on their lives and the implications for LES policy and Practice.

February 16, 2012 – 11:30 – 13:00 (EST) – FRENCH
Mr. Patrick Bussière will present an outline of the PIAAC Survey (Program for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies) and what LES programs can learn from the findings and the Canadian demographic information.
