Pan-Canadian results identify significantly lower scores for NL students in Math
The Pan-Canadian Assessment Program (PCAP) 2010 is the continuation of CMEC’s commitment to inform Canadians about how well their education systems are meeting the needs of students and society. The information gained from this pan-Canadian assessment provides ministers of education with a basis for examining the curriculum and other aspects of their school systems.
On the mathematics assessment, the mean scores of students enrolled in English schools in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, Manitoba, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island are significantly lower than that of Canadian students enrolled in English schools overall.
